The Taurus 605 TORO is a compact revolver that's easy to learn on and comfortable to carry, whether you're keeping it close at home or in your bag. The 3-inch barrel gives you good control without being bulky, and the steel frame soaks up recoil nicely so shooting stays manageable. It holds five rounds of 357 Magnum (which means it can also shoot the milder 38 Special if you want to practice affordably), and if you ever want to add a red dot sight, it's already set up for that.
