The Ruger American Generation II Prairie is a straightforward, reliable bolt-action rifle that handles .223 Remington well for target shooting, training, or prairie work. It's got a 20-inch threaded barrel (1/2x28" threads), a durable Cerakote bronze finish that stands up to weather, and a comfortable black splatter synthetic stock that won't swell or warp. The manual safety is easy to understand, the Picatinny rail lets you add optics without fuss, and it ships with one 10-round magazine. This is a solid rifle that does what it says it will.
